SIMON P BIGGS 

Writer & Director

Simon P Biggs is an award-winning writer, director and animator based in Scotland.

His previous work includes WIDDERSHINS, which screened at over eighty film festivals worldwide and won twelve awards, including a BAFTA Scotland Award, a Celtic Media Festival Award and the Hitchcock Jury Prize at the Dinard Film Festival.


THE TESTAMENT OF GIDEON MACK, which was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award, and
HIGH MAINTENANCE, which won over ten festival awards including a Student Oscar and HBO Comedy Award.

Primarily interested in science fiction and environmental issues, his work uses modern and traditional animation techniques to create new and innovative styles to bring intricate worlds to life on screen.

Ross McKenzie

Producer


Ross McKenzie established the Edinburgh-based production company DEVIL MAY CARE ENTERTAINMENT in 2019 to produce original content, primarily feature films and television drama series, for the international market.


As a Film & TV Executive, Ross worked across development and production within the UK Screen industries, most recently at Screen Scotland where he was Executive Producer across a range of feature films, feature documentaries and television series. Credits include Dorte Bengtson's feature animation VITELLO, Annabel Jankel’s TELL IT TO THE BEES, Scott Graham’s RUN and Ben Sharrock’s upcoming BAFTA and BIFA nominated refugee drama LIMBO, selected for Cannes Official Competition in 2020. He also oversaw strategic support for Scotland’s animation sector.


Before joining Screen Scotland, Ross worked in feature film production. He produced Michael Pearce’s 2011 BAFTA and BIFA nominated short film RITE and has worked for film companies in the UK including Capitol Films, Bard Entertainments, the UK Film Council, the British Film Institute, Paramount and Film London.


He is a graduate of the MEGA Plus Masters in Audiovisual Management programme at the Media Business School in Spain.


Lucy Teire

Head of Production


Lucy is Head of Production at Interference Pattern animation studio in Edinburgh and has more than 15 years experience in the animation and visual effects industry producing high-end CGI animation for commercials, game cinematics, films and broadcast.

Lucy has a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Oxford University, an MSc in Animation and Visualisation from the University of Dundee, and a passion for animation and storytelling.

Tom Bryant

Artistic Director


Tom founded Interference Pattern in 2008 whilst working as the key CGI artist on the 2011 Oscar—winning animated short film ‘The Lost Thing’.


He started his career working as 3D artist in 2000 at Axis Animation and continued to work as Technical Director on the New Captain Scarlet TV series before moving to Passion Pictures working on high profile broadcast commercials and music videos (e.g. Gorillaz). Under Tom’s creative leadership the studio has continued to grow and was BAFTA nominated for the short animated film, Nothing to Declare.
